In a recent interview, Steve Austin said that he was happy to see Bret Hart return to the WWE, even if it was only for a few months and competing in one final match at WrestleMania tomorrow night. Austin said in the same interview that he has one final match in him.
WWE contacted former referee Earl Hebner to be involved in some capacity during the Bret Hart-Vince McMahon match at WrestleMania. It appears that no deal was made. Hebner of course was the man who officiated the Bret Hart-Shawn Michaels match at the 1997 Survivor Series, in the match now referred to as the “Montreal Screwjob.”
Matt Hardy said in a recent online chat that he believes Jeff Hardy will eventually return to the WWE. Matt said “Jeff can’t handle the [WWE] schedule right now. I think it’s [TNA] not going to be a long term thing.” Matt also said that once Jeff is healed from some nagging injuries, he believes Jeff will come back.
